Born in Budapest in 1968, Kristóf Szabó started his career in Hungary as a poet and a fine artist.

Working since 2007 until today as stage designer, director and choreographer, Kristóf founded the F.A.C.E. Visual Performing Arts Ensemble in 2012. Based in Cologne, Kristóf´s work is put on stage in Europe.
The fragmented story telling or the narrations of the performances are based on the bible, on ancient greek mythology and the results of biological sciences today – they are developed to a contemporary Mixed Media Art performance.
Having spent his childhood in Budapest of the 70s, living in Cologne since 1983, Kristóf graduated (Master of Arts) at the Albertus Magnus University of Cologne in drama and film studies. 1999-2000 He was co-founder and member of the neo-surrealistic fine artist group ANTLOGONIS http://forum.psrabel.com/ in Cologne.

Szabó is member of the Barnes Crossing Choreographers Network Cologne since 2011 and 2011-2018 he was artistic director of the International Solo Duo Dance Festival: NRW + Friends. http://www.barnescrossing.de/soloduo.html.
Except putting on stage dance- and theatre-works with his mixed media ensemble of performing arts F.A.C.E., he also works on site specific performances as well as on his own format: TheaterTanz = danse théâtrale.
